I call the light of golden rays
I seek protection thus,
I pray for heavenly forces at my side
angels, sages, spirit guides or wolves
who walk with cunning skill.
Come to my aid!
Come at my will!
Blackbird soaring light my path
so I am victim to no one's wrath!
And when my journey knows success,
all those who aid me Goddess bless!

I try, but cannot think of a more enjoyable way to start this day, reading your poetry and profile, while listening to Magic Flute which I have played many times.
ReplyDeleteAnd I have two stories in which I have a personal connection to James Levine--may have blogged them both at one time, do not remember. BUT...I remember the stories!!!--grin!
The "rutted" road like in the picture is one we all walk on here on earth...it's an easier walk it if we walk in the light as He is....1John 7.

ReplyDeleteThat's why we keep running into each other.. Have to play it out..I better make it good!!
It must be in the genes to ask for help from unseen forces, althought they seem too capricious to be dependable. But to 'all those who aid me Goddess bless!' Amen to that!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the image of a nurturing Goddess although evidence suggests an angry jealous god, clearly male on testosterone pills as described in His own Old Testament!
Hi Stafford-
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you..I think we are hard wired to ask the forces for help..but who put it there??For me, a loving god..perhaps a jokester..
